Emergency Life Support Training
The Edinburgh University Basic Life Support Society was formed by a group of medical students at the University of Edinburgh in 2003 with the aim of providing free training in basic first aid skills to school children.
Since then the society has adapted to changing circumstances and now offer training to local schools affiliated to the British Heart Foundation’s Heartstart scheme, other local schools, University students and staff and local community groups (for example Scouts or Guides).

Please Note
We do not provide a First Aid certification service; our courses are aimed at increasing the level of knowledge of these essential skills to give our attendees the confidence to know how to make a difference in an emergency situation.
